Since “Escape Rooms” have become all the rage, we have converted the concept into an adrenline – fuelled, digital outdoor escape game called Treasure Island, which takes place at sea. Escape rooms are normally just for small groups and only indoor but we wanted offer the product to bigger groups and have the guests explore the Barcelona coastline
We usually split groups into teams of 8 people and each team boards a powerful Zodiac boat which is controlled by a local, qualified skipper. The boats move on the orders of the team members and the skipper is only an executive officer, present for the safety of the boat and the crew.
Equipped with an I-Pad and the game application the teams have to navigate the captain of their boat to treasure points in the sea where , once activated, different activities and challenges take place. While they are doing this they must avoid the pirate zones, which will appear on the map. Special features can are also included in the game such as a treasure chests which double the points and mines to attack other teams.
The game can finish directly at the restaurant where all the teams regroup and the prize giving ceremony takes place. We will inform the relatives of any team members who are caught by pirates.
